Enrolment Scheme at Milson School

To avoid overcrowding, or the likelihood of overcrowding, the Milson School Board has implemented an Enrolment Scheme that has been developed by the Secretary for Education.

Under this scheme, students will be entitled to enrol if they live within the home zone. The enrolment scheme, which includes a precise description of the home zone, may be viewed at the school office and on the school website.

The enrolment of out-of-zone students is governed by the provisions of the Education and Training Act 2020.

OUT OF ZONE ENROLMENTS FOR TERM 2 2026

We have the following spaces available for Out of Zone students starting during Term 2, 2026:

Year 1 - 10

Year 2 - 5

Year 3 - 7

Year 4 - 6

Year 5 – 5

Year 6 - Nil

Applications close Wednesday 1 April 2026.

Parents will be advised of the result of their application on Thursday 2 April 2026.

If the number of applications exceeds the number of places available, then students will be selected by ballot on Wednesday 1 April 2026.

The Milson School Board will continue to monitor the school roll and should additional places become available during the course of the year they will be advertised midway through each preceding term.

If you live within the school zone and have not yet signalled your intention to enrol your child later this year, please contact the school immediately to assist us to plan appropriately.

Enrolment at Milson School for 2027

Applications for 2027 will open on Tuesday 11 August 2026 and close on Tuesday 8 September 2026. If the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the number of places available students will be selected by ballot to be held on Wednesday 9 September 2026. Parents will be advised of the result of their application by the end of Friday 11 September 2026.

The number of available spaces for Out of Zone students in 2027 will be added here at the start of August 2026.
