Presiding Member (Chairperson)

My name is Aaron Wood and I have been on the Milson School Board for about 2 years now and last year I became the Board Presiding Member.

I have a wife, two children and three crazy rabbits. In my spare time I enjoy tinkering in my garage and problem solving.

If you have any questions about the Board or what we do please get in contact with me on the email address above.

I am so fortunate to be a part of our Board of Trustees. We have such a supportive Board with some very long standing members who just want to see the best for our school and the tamariki in it. We meet twice a term where I present a report about all that has gone on in the school since the last meeting. It is a wonderful way to share our great stuff that we do and our Board are so very appreciative. We often have home baking (out of packets bought at the supermarket lol) and the board are really accustomed to laughing at my ‘mum’ jokes.

But seriously – our BOT is a great thing to be a part of and you can rest assured that our school is in amazing hands. Look out for our Board elections and if you have any questions around what it means to be a Board member, please don’t hesitate to email anyone on the Board.

Our Board really do have a heart for Milson, and I am so very proud to be on it.

Kia Ora, my name is Holly and I have been a member of the Board of Trustees for about a year.  I chose to be a Board member because I have three children at Milson school and I enjoy being involved  in the school and community.  I grew up in the Waikato but have lived in Palmerston North for about 20 years now.  I love reading and spending time with my family and our two dogs.

I'm a mum of two children and work fulltime as an Accountant, as well as helping my husband (Karl) with the admin / accounting tasks for his own building company.  Our weekends are generally spent supporting our children in their chosen activities of dance and motocross.

When I was approached to join the Milson School Board, I felt it was an opportunity that gave me, as a full time working parent, an opportunity to contribute to the school that my children attended, in a way that worked for me and my family schedule.  It really is an extremely rewarding role.
